Pilates/Dance Fusion
This progressive workshop will focus on equipping dancers with a series of exercises designed to increase core stability and mobility along with providing basic dance technique. Each class will move from floor exercises to centre work and finally to dance combinations (choreography) using the techniques learned in class. Pilates/Dance Fusion is designed for any level of dancer - all are welcome.
Karen Sudds has been studying the Core Dynamics method of Pilates for over 7 years and teaching dance for 20 years. The Pilates/Dance Fusion grew out of a demand for training methods designed for the aging dancer.

Diane Sekuloff

Diane Sekuloff

Dancing for the Lord began for Diane about 35 years ago at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Edmonton. Since then, she has participated both in the secular dance and liturgical dance world in Britain as well as in British Columbia, where she currently lives.
Early on, Diane discovered the healing aspects of dance through the process of choreography with people in new situations. In the past two years, she has begun to learn how to be more intentional about that. This workshop will provide a time to open up to the Holy Spirit moving you: moving in you; moving through you. We always bring what we know of ourselves to what we know of God - hopefully this will be opportunity to learn to know a little more of both.
Diane is assistant National Coordinator for the Christian Dance Fellowship of Canada.

Esther Wogberg

In 1993 she started a group of Christian Dance leaders who became a chapter of CDFC. The chapter hosted the 2nd National Dance Conference here in Winnipeg, in August 1998. She served CDFC as Membership Secretary for 6 1/2 years.

Intercession and Prophetic Dance is based on Paula Douthette's Harmonics approach to movement, with yielding to the Spirit being the key element. There will be individual, partners and group improvisational exercises in Freedom in Movement; Worship; Intercession and Prophesy.

Jennifer Yourk

Jennifer has taught with examiner Lynnette Kelley, the Goh Ballet Company, and Spring City Ballet (Colorado Springs). She has owned and directed her own studio in Pemberton, B.C. It has been her desire for many years to incorporate dance into her Christian life, and so it is with great joy that she, in partnership with Lisa Calverley, pioneers a Christian-based dance studio and Youth Company in Three Hills, AB. Their goal is to give all who have a desire to dance (from three to eighty three) a safe but challenging environment.
